Schlage Sense Pro™: Firmware Update

The Schlage Sense Pro™ automatically updates its Firmware every day between 1 and 3 AM. The lock will download the latest Firmware from the cloud as long as it is paired with the Schlage Home app and has a strong Wi-Fi connection.

Manually Update the Firmware:

If you are at the lock without your phone, you can manually update the Firmware:

1. Remove the battery cover.
2. Press and release the blue button 5 times rapidly.
   
   

Updating Firmware via the Schlage Home App:

There are two options for updating the Firmware using the Schlage Home app: via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi.

Option 1: Update via Bluetooth:

1. Open the Schlage Home app.
2. Navigate to the lock you’d like to update.
3. Press the three dots next to the lock name.
4. Select "Lock Settings" and then "Firmware Settings" from the menu.
5. Press "Update over Bluetooth".
6. Allow the Firmware to update.
   • Keep the app open and your phone close to the lock during the process.
   • The update can take approximately 15-20 minutes.

Option 2: Update via Wi-Fi:

1. Open the Schlage Home app.
2. Navigate to the lock you’d like to update.
3. Press the three dots next to the lock name.
4. Select "Lock Settings" and then "Firmware Settings" from the menu.
5. Press "Update over Wi-Fi".
6. Allow the Firmware to update.
   • The update can take approximately 10 minutes.
   • There is no need to keep the app open or stay near the lock during this process

Updating Firmware via Apple Home

1. Open the Apple HomeKit app.
2. Select the Schlage Sense Pro™ from accessories. 
3. Press the settings icon.
4. Press "UPDATE".
5. Allow the Firmware to update.
