Schlage Sense Pro™: Pairing Instructions – Schlage Residential

Sense Pro users can choose to pair Sense Pro with the Apple Home app or both the Apple Home app and Schlage Home app. Pairing with both apps enables the full feature set, including hands-free entrance modes in the Schlage Home app.

You can pair with either the Schlage Home app or Apple Home app first:

If starting with the Schlage Home app:

Schlage Sense Pro™: Pair to the Schlage Home App

Open the Schlage Home app, tap the “+” in the top right corner, and select “Add Lock.”
Then, you will have the option to add your lock to a home.
Next, name your lock and tap “Continue.”
Remove the battery pack on your Sense Pro to locate the programming QR code on the left of the interior label or on your quick start guide, then tap “Continue.”
Scan the code with the camera in the Schlage Home app.
Follow the prompts to install the lock or select “Yes, lock is installed” to move on to pairing.
Follow the on-screen prompts to re-install the battery pack, then tap “Continue.”
On your Sense Pro, press the blue button to put the lock in pairing mode. *The blue LED light on the interior side of your Sense Pro will blink to show that your lock is in pairing mode.*
Once paired, you will be prompted to connect to Wi-Fi and finish configuring to your door.

Once paired in the Schlage Home app, you can pair in the Apple Home app as well.

Schlage Sense Pro™: Pair to Schlage Home and Apple Home Simultaneously

In the bottom right corner of the Schlage Home app, tap the “Menu,” then select “Works With” and then “Apple Home.”
From there, follow the on-screen prompts to connect your Sense Pro to the Apple Home app.

If starting with the Apple Home app:

Note: Before pairing to Apple Home, make sure your Apple Home hub [Apple TV 4K (2nd generation), Apple TV 4K (3rd generation) Wi-Fi + Ethernet, HomePod (2nd generation), HomePod Mini] is set up and running the latest software.

Ensure that your iPhone and your Apple Home Hub are on the same Wi-Fi network/subnet.
From your iPhone, open the Apple Home app and tap the “+” in the top right corner, then tap “Add Accessory.”
Remove the battery pack on your Sense Pro to locate the Matter QR code on the right of the interior label or on your quick start guide.
Scan the Matter QR code on your Sense Pro with the camera in the Apple Home app.
Insert the battery pack on the lock and wait to hear a beep. Tap “Add to Home” in the app.
On your Sense Pro, press the blue button to put the lock in pairing mode. *The blue LED light on the interior side of your Sense Pro will blink to show that your lock is in pairing mode.*
On your iPhone, follow the prompts in the Apple Home app to set up Sense Pro.
Once paired, your Sense Pro will appear on the Apple Home screen in your selected room – from there, you will be able to manage your lock.
