When Should you Perform a Factory Default Reset?
- If you move the lock from one door to another door, then you need to restore default settings, move the lock to the new door, and then set up the lock again.
- If you have forgotten your Programming Code, you can restore the default codes.
- If you have set up your lock using a compatible mobile app, and would like to force the lock to unpair from all mobile devices, erase all codes, and restore the factory default settings and default codes.
Note: This will DELETE all codes and restore the factory codes and local lock settings. It will NOT reset Z-Wave settings or unenroll the lock.
Before you Begin:
Ensure the factory default user codes are available. All user codes and any custom programming codes will be erased by the FDR process. The default user codes and programming code can be found on the back of the inside assembly and the back page of the user guide.
To Factory Default Reset Your Lock:
Remove black battery cover (slide cover up) and disconnect the batteries.
Press and hold down the Schlage logo on the front of the touchscreen. While you are pushing the logo, reconnect your batteries.
The green check on the keypad will flash three times and the inside Schlage button will flash three times.
Test your lock with one of the default codes located on the back of your guide or inside the interior lock assembly (Ensure the door is still opened during this step). If successful, the lock will automatically extend and then retract the bolt.
