Replacing the battery in your Schlage BE365 Keypad Lock is an essential part of maintaining its reliable operation. It’s recommended to replace the battery at the same time each year that you test and replace the batteries in your smoke alarms.
Tools You’ll Need:
- A Phillips head screwdriver.
- A high-quality alkaline 9-volt battery (use a name-brand battery for optimal performance).
Lithium batteries may have a longer life, but when they begin to fail, they fail quickly. We don’t recommend them because they don’t give you a lot of time to change your batteries before the lock is completely dead. Instead, we reccomend using high-quality name brand alkaline batteries.
How to Change the Battery on Keypad Locks:
BE365:
Remove the Inside Cover

Replace the Battery
- Disconnect the old 9-volt battery and connect a new high-quality alkaline 9-volt battery, ensuring proper terminal alignment.
- Securely place the new battery into the compartment.
Re-tuck Wires and Replace the Cover
