The Schlage Encode series is equipped with a customizable built-in alarm designed to enhance security by detecting door movement and forced entry attempts. Below, we outline the different alarm modes and steps to program the alarm using the Schlage Home app.
Understanding the Built-in Alarm Modes:
1. Detect Forced Entry
In Forced Entry mode, the alarm activates when the door is locked.
The alarm will sound if:
- Force is applied to the door or the lock.
- The lock detects 4 consecutive incorrect code entries.
If the code is entered incorrectly 4 consecutive times, the keypad will deactivate, and the lock's alarm will sound for 30 seconds.
- Each additional incorrect entry will disable the keypad for 1 minute.
- This can be resolved by unlocking the door via the Schlage Home app.
2. Detect Door Movement
- In Door Movement mode, the alarm provides a beep notification whenever door movement is detected.
- This mode is ideal for monitoring activity at the door without triggering a loud alarm.
How to Access and Program Alarm Settings
- Open the Schlage Home App.
- Navigate to the lock you'd like to program.
- Tap the three dots next to the lock name.
