Using Express Mode Without an Apple Home Hub

• You do not need an Apple Home Hub (e.g., Apple TV or Home Pod) to use Tap to Unlock for the primary user.

When an Apple Home Hub Is Required

To access advanced features of the Encode Plus, or if you would like to add it to a second device (e.g., Apple Watch or a second phone), an Apple Home Hub is necessary:

• Home Keys Sharing: Allows you to share access to the Express Mode feature with other users or additional devices via Apple HomeKit.
  HomeKit Automations: Enables additional smart home integrations and automations through Apple Home.
• Pairing to Apple HomeKit Without Schlage Home App: The Encode Plus can be paired directly to Apple HomeKit without also pairing it to the Schlage Home app.
