Encode Plus: Control via Apple HomeKit on Android?

Apple HomeKit devices, such as the Schlage Encode Plus (BE499), can only be controlled using an Apple iPhone or Watch. If you wish to manage the Encode Plus with an Android phone, you must use the Schlage Home app. Apple HomeKit does not support Android devices, so integration with Apple HomeKit is not possible on Android platforms.
