Apple Home Key(s) is a digital key that resides in your Apple Wallet app, providing seamless access to paired door locks through the Apple Home app. With home keys, you can effortlessly tap to lock or unlock the Schlage Encode Plus Smart Wi-Fi Deadbolt using your iPhone, ensuring easy and secure access to your home.

Requirements for Using Apple Home Keys

To utilize the Apple Home Keys feature with your Schlage Encode Plus Smart Wi-Fi Deadbolt, you will need:

• A Schlage Encode Plus Smart Wi-Fi Deadbolt (BE499) paired with the Apple Home app.
• An iPhone with both the Apple Home app and Apple Wallet app installed.

Apple Home Keys use near-field communication (NFC), requiring you to hold your device near the lock's touchscreen. The NFC target is marked on the lock’s keypad, similar to how you might use Apple Pay.

Setting Up and Using Apple Home Keys

• Pairing with Apple Home App: Ensure that your Schlage Encode Plus is paired with the Apple Home app to enable or share Home Keys and Express Mode.
