How to Add, Edit, or Delete Apple HomeKit Access Codes

Similar to the Schlage Home app the Apple Home app you can set up an access code for people who need access to your home.

To Add Access Codes

Note: An Apple Home Hub is required to add more than one Access Code

1. Go to the Home app  on your iPhone.
2. On the Home tab, touch and hold the lock
3. Tap Accessory Settings.
4. Tap Manage Access.
5. Tap Add Guest.
6. Give the guest a name—Dog Walker, for example—then turn on the locks you want them to have access to.
7. Tap Change Access Code.
8. Enter an access code.
9. Tap Done.
10. Touch and hold the access code, tap Share, choose a sharing option, then share the access code with the guest.

To Edit Access Codes

1. Go to the Home app  on your iPhone.
2. On the Home tab, touch and hold the lock
3. Tap Accessory Settings.
4. Tap Manage Access.
5. Press "edit" above the name you wish to edit.
6. Tap on Access Code Name.
7. Press "Personal Access Code"
8. Tap "Change Access Code"
9. Enter new Access Code
10. Tap Done.
11. Tap Share, choose a sharing option, then share the access code with the guest.

How to Delete Access Codes

1. Go to the Home app  on your iPhone.
2. On the Home tab, touch and hold the lock.
3. Tap Accessory Settings.
4. Tap Manage Access.
5. Press "edit" above the name you wish to delete.
6. Tap on Access Code Name.
7. Press "Remove Guest".
