Schlage Smart Locks, including the Schlage Arrive, the Schlage Encode Series, and the Schlage Connect, can all be temporarily removed from the door. If you wish to paint the door or need to temporarily remove the lock, this can be done without the need to re-pair the lock with its corresponding app or hub. However, if the lock is disconnected for too long—such as longer than a day—this could cause connection disruptions.
