Can Schlage Residential Locks Be Used on Screen or Security Doors?

Schlage residential locks are not designed for outdoor use and cannot withstand exposure to the elements. The interior components of these locks must be installed indoors in a temperature-controlled environment. Installing the interior portion on a screen or security door exposed to weather will void the Schlage warranty.
