Why Is There a Hole on My Battery Cover?

If you’ve noticed a small hole on the battery cover of your Schlage Sense (BE479) or Schlage Connect (BE468/BE469) locks, this is the speaker hole designed for these models.

Do not install additional screws on the battery cover.
