Can You Lock Your Schlage FE595 Using a Key or the Keypad?

The Schlage FE595 keypad lock operates differently than traditional locks. Its keypad is designed solely for temporarily unlocking the unit and cannot be used to lock it. To lock the FE595, you must use the interior thumb-turn (Flex Lock) located above the lever. Rotate the thumb-turn to the horizontal position to lock the door, and rotate it back to the vertical position to unlock it.
