Schlage keypad locks are designed to alert users when the batteries are running low or critically low, ensuring you have enough time to replace them and avoid being locked out. Each model has specific indicators to notify you of the battery status:
Schlage Keypad Locks (BE365, FE575, FE595): When the batteries are low, the Schlage Button will flash red three times before flashing green after entering a valid access code to unlock the door.
If the batteries are critically low, the Schlage button will start blinking red even when no access code has been entered. The batteries should be replaced immediately to avoid any disruptions.
Schlage Touch Models (BE375, FE599): These models include a red battery indicator that will flash after the door has been unlocked using a valid access code, signaling that the batteries need to be replaced.
There is a delay before unlocking after a valid User Code is entered.
If the batteries are critically low, the battery indicator light will start blinking red but no codes have been entered. The batteries should be replaced immediately to avoid any disruptions.
Discontinued Schlage Keypad Locks (BE369, FE599): These models function the same as the BE365, FE575, and FE595 locks. The indicator light will flash red three times before turning green after entering a valid code, and the Schlage button will blink red when the batteries are critically low, even if no code has been entered.
