Schlage Keypad Deadbolt: Using the Key

The Schlage Keypad Deadbolt - BE365 has a floating cylinder. To use the key on the BE365 Keypad deadbolt, place the exterior thumb-turn in the 12 to 6 o'clock position and insert the key. Then, while holding the thumb-turn stationary, twist the key to the 3 to 9 o'clock position. The key and center cylinder should slide back about 1/8".

To remove the key, hold the thumb-turn stationary again, pull back on the key and turn.
