Schlage Sense: No Apple HomeKit in "Works With"

The Schlage Sense - BE479 (Discontinued) cannot be paired with Apple HomeKit through the "Works With" section of the Apple Home app. The Schlage Sense can be paired either with Apple HomeKit or the Schlage Home app, but it does not have the ability to pair with both simultaneously.
