The discontinued Schlage Sense - BE479 requires 4 quality alkaline AA batteries.

1. Remove the battery cover.
2. Disconnect the wire from the battery pack.
3. Remove the battery holder.
4. Remove the current batteries.
5. Replace with brand new 4 quality alkaline batteries.
