Can Schlage Interior Locks be Installed on Exterior Doors?

Internal Residential Schlage locks such as the Schlage Hallway & Closet Lock (F10), Schlage Bedroom & Bathroom Lock (F40), Schlage Custom Combined Interior Lock (FC21), or other Schlage branded interior locks are not recommended for exterior use. Installing an interior lock on an exterior door will void the Schlage warranty, as these locks are not designed to withstand outdoor elements, and the finish may not hold up.
