Schlage Arrive: Wi-Fi Pairing Issues

Are you experiencing difficulty pairing your Schlage Arrive Smart Lock to your Wi-Fi network? This issue is often caused by an unsupported Wi-Fi password format, and the lock provides visual and audible feedback to confirm the problem.

How to Confirm the Issue

When attempting to pair your Schlage Arrive Smart Lock to Wi-Fi, the lock’s keypad will flash red X three times, accompanied by three beeps. This indicates that the lock was unable to connect to the network due to a problem with the Wi-Fi password or other network-related settings.

Common Causes of Wi-Fi Pairing Errors

1. Wi-Fi Password Length

• The maximum password length supported by the Schlage Arrive Smart Lock is 24 characters.
• Passwords exceeding this limit will cause pairing errors.

2. Unrecognized Special Characters

• Certain special characters (e.g., $ and &) are not recognized by the Schlage Home App.
• Including these characters in your password will prevent successful pairing.

Spaces in the Password

• A space in the Wi-Fi password will result in a commissioning error.

Solution:

To resolve the issue, update your Wi-Fi password to meet the following requirements:

• Ensure the password is 24 characters or fewer.
• Avoid using unsupported special characters such as $ or &.
• Remove any spaces from the password.

Once the Wi-Fi password has been updated, attempt to pair the lock again. If successful, the entire keypad will light up blue for 2 seconds, and you will hear three alternating beeps confirming the connection.
