If your Schlage BE365 Keypad Lock is not unlocking after entering the correct code, and the green Schlage Button flashes to indicate success, but the knob spins freely without retracting the bolt, follow these steps to resolve the issue.
Check and Replace the Battery
Replace the battery with a new, name-brand alkaline 9-volt battery.
Avoid generic or rechargeable batteries, as they may not provide sufficient power for the lock to function correctly.
Tip: Ensure the battery compartment is clean and free of corrosion before installing the new battery.
Perform a Factory Reset
Perform a factory reset on your Schlage BE365 lock.
A factory reset will erase all user codes and restore the lock to its original settings.
Note: After resetting, be sure to reprogram your access codes.
If the above steps don’t resolve the issue, the lock may have a hardware defect:
- Submit a Request.
- Select Warranty Claims.
- Provide details about the issue and the troubleshooting steps you’ve already tried.
Tip: Have your purchase receipt and lock model information ready when contacting support.

Your company is extremely poor in customer relations!! I have been on hold for 39:00 and NOTHING. WHEN A PERSON SPENDS $280.00 on YOUR PRODUCT one should not have to wait so long!!! HIRE MORE PEOPLE and business will move faster more profits will be made thus more money to the stock holder. That is the plan right!!!! Protect and serve the customer and all will go well with this company!!! So far the new lock sucks and so does your customer service. If you really to care about your consumer, call me. 956-358-4999
